Why should we choose Chocolate Occasions?
Chocolate Occasions have built their enviable reputation by striving to provide a quality service that is second to none. Our fountain displays are unique and innovative, our staff are professional and friendly and every event that we attend is treated with the same attention to detail and enthusiasm as if it were our own.
How does the chocolate fountain work?
The base of the chocolate fountain consists of a bowl with an internal heating element that holds the chocolate and keeps it warm. A large stainless steel cork screw (auger) sits in the centre column of the fountain. When switched on, the auger rotates and lifts the chocolate to the top of the fountain where it then cascades down the tiers of the fountain, back into the bowl and the process then repeats itself over and over again. What chocolate is used in the fountains?
We only use the highest grade Callebaut Belgian Couverture Chocolate. This comes in a variety of flavours including milk, white, plain, strawberry, hazelnut to name but a few. What size are the fountains?
We have a selection of chocolate fountains ranging from the smaller 19 inch fountain up to the impressive 50 inch fountain. We are therefore able to offer a tailor made package for you whether you have 50 guests or 1000 guests! Our Beverage Fountains are one size and stand at 46 inches tall.
How long can we hire the fountain for?
Typically, our rental period is between 3 to 4 hours. Health and Safety legislation states that a cold food buffet should not be left out any longer than 4 hours if the room temperature is above 8 degrees.
Can the Chocolate Fountain be used outside?
The Chocolate Fountain should only be operated in enclosed areas as a breeze can disrupt the flow of the fountain. Also, if used outside, the sweet smell of the chocolate will attract flying insects. The Beverage Fountain can be used outside subject to an outside power supply being supplied for us.
Are You insured?
Yes, Chocolate Occasions has full Public Liability Insurance in place, we are registered with Environmental Health and our machinery is regularly PAT tested. Our staff also hold Food Hygiene Certificates.
What happens to the chocolate at the end of the event?
Should you wish, any left over chocolate can be left at your event for you and your guests to continue to enjoy after we have left. Chocolate Occasions never re-uses chocolate from previous functions.
